My name is Trey Meacham and I am one of the founding partners of MHI.  For as long as I can remember, insurance has been a part of my life.  My father was an agent for over 40 years and I have been a broker for over 16 years.  One of the things that my Dad used to tell me what that there will always be a need for insurance and that insurance is one of the unique businesses that will allow you to build wealth and continue to build wealth long after the policy is written.  

The really attractive thing about insurance as a career choice is that you have the ability to grow a book of business that will not only provide an income for you now, but an income that will continue to provide for you long after you retire.  And the flexibility is unmatched.  With today’s technology, you can literally work from anywhere.  And in today’s world, where it often takes two incomes to make a living, yet children are involved in more and more activities keeping both parents busier than ever; being able to create your own schedule can be a game changer.   

The really challenging part of insurance is that it can be extremely over-whelming when you are first getting started and the simple fact is that you do have to work.  You can’t just show up from 8 am to 5 pm each day and collect a check.  You have to be a go-getter. You have to be good at building relationships.  MHI has a support team that will help you every step of the way, especially in those beginning stages when you are still trying to make sense of everything.
